Tulsa is growing and crime has kept in the background...until now. When he is put in charge of the murder scene at the upscale Memorial Avenue address it looks like a simple killing. When blackmail rears its ugly head, the simple factor disappears. A very complicated case of murder and extortion arises and grows like a festering wound. Pete has morals, is likable, and wants better things. Nancy Martin though, seems totally out of his class and yet, she is one of the things that he wants. Before he can make a move on her, he must prove that she is not involved in these crimes.
